Arthritis
Have you been told it is:
'Wear and tear'
'bone on bone'
'wrinkles on the inside'
Helping you to over come your symptoms of arthritis is our goal, whether it be from inflammatory cause, previous injury or just come out of the blue.
Will exercise make my arthritis worse?
The traditional "wear and tear" model for OA is outdated and oversimplified. We now know that OA is a complex disease influenced by genetics, joint injury, obesity, and abnormal joint mechanics. It affects the entire joint, including cartilage, bone, synovium, and surrounding tissues. Joint injuries or abnormalities in joint mechanics can cause damage to the cartilage and other joint structures over time. But don't worry, this updated understanding has led to new treatments and prevention strategies, such as targeted exercise, weight management, and medications that can help reduce inflammation and slow the progression of the disease.
